Beast of the Sea

The slow pull of sea,
Causes the dragon to stir.
He thinks he loves her.

The beast joins the sea,
Riding the waves he feels free.
Yet a wave crashes.

Never did I think,
That a beast could love the sea.
Wrong again, fooled me.

Tossed onto the shore,
The dragon feels rejected.
Yes, he begs for acceptance.

The sea stays silent,
And the dragon tries again.
Stepping toward tide.

He does give his all,
Even so the tide will rise.
The dragon won’t quit.

Never did I think,
That a beast could love the sea.
Wrong again, fooled me.
